Energy efficient buildings and regeneration: Introducing the Corby Cube - 12 November 2010 - Parkland Gateway, George Street, Corby, NN17 1QG
On 1st November 2010, Corby Borough Council opens the doors to the new Iconic Corby Cube , a new multifunctional building which contains a Theatre in Partnership with Royal and Derngate, a public library, council One Stop Shop, a new council chamber(which doubles as a wedding room),core council office, a bistro and future rooftop restaurant and roof top garden.
The Cube is at the heart of a major regeneration programme and this seminar provides an opportunity to get behind the scenes to see how energy efficiency has been integrated into the building and the lessons for other councils considering their building stock.
Speakers will include:
- Corby Chief Executive Chris Mallender and Deputy Leader Mark Pengelly
- Steve Cirell, Former Eversheds partner and Cornwall County Council’s director of the Green Cornwall programme
- Simon Evans, Chief Executive, North Northants Development Company
Following the formal session there will be lunch and a guided opportunity to see the Cube and other buildings within the regeneration scheme.
